A very talented customer of ours from NightOwl Creations used our Frayed Flower In the Hoop Embroidery design to embellish her gorgeous tutu. We are so impressed we just had to share it with you! The tutu and the flower are both made with pretty tulle. Wow!!

Jaimee and I have been having fun thinking up all of the ways you can use Fabric Flowers In the Hoop. Her five year old daughter suggested using them on a belt (she's our little Fashionista!) Yesterday, Jaimee and I did a photo shoot and glammed up our outfits with Fabric Flowers!
Here's Jaimee, the Pickle Pie Designs Customer Service Expert! Isn't her new haircut adorable?!
Here I am with a bouquet of Fabric Flowers stitched onto my sweater. I ran errands yesterday wearing the sweater and got lots of compliments!
Check out this adorable dress made by Nicole of Cole's Creations - she made a Fabric Flower with coordinating fabrics and added a felt leaf. We love it, Nicole!

As we get ready to launch our new website (yay!) we wanted to share a quick and easy Valentine project with you. Valentine Lollipop Covers can be made with our Monogrammed Heart Hair Pretties set, which you may already own. If you haven't added this sweet set to your Pickle Pie Designs collection, you may want to wait just a few more days for our new website to open and you'll find ALL of our Hair Pretties on sale at 50% off on our opening day!
Be sure to sign up for our newsletter (over there on the right ------>, then look up at the top) so you'll be among the first to know about our Grand Re-opening and the fun promotions we'll be running during the celebration!
To make Valentine Lollipop Covers:
Buy some cute heart-shaped lollipops - I found mine at my local Walgreens drugstore.
Stitch out one of the Monogrammed Heart Hair Pretties from our set, following the stitching directions included with the designs. (The "Be Mine" heart shown in the photo is included in the set!)
Turn your Hair Pretties design over to the back. Using small scissors or a seam ripper, cut 2 horizontal slits in the back layer of felt, near the bottom of the heart. The slits should be spaced about 1/4" apart. Cut them just wide enough to slide the lollipop stick through.
Slide your lollipop stick through both slits, threading it through until it won't go any further.
Turn the heart over to the front to see how cute your Valentine Lollipop Cover turned out! Stitch up a bunch for school Valentines or as special treats for your little loves!
Our in-the-hoop Heart Pocket Pillows make adorable gifts for little ones, teachers, or anyone else that deserves a little love! They're stitched completely in the hoop of your embroidery machine and include a back pocket so you can tuck in some chocolates or other treats. Heart Pocket Pillows look adorable hanging from doorknobs, dresser mirrors, just about anywhere that to a sweet little touch to a room. Heart Pocket Pillows are on sale for 20% off now through January 30.
Perfect for Valentine's Day, our Monogrammed Heart Hair Pretties are fun and easy to make right in the hoop of your embroidery machine. Directions show you how to turn them into hair clips, pencil holders (perfect for class Valentine's!) and more! Also included are bonus project instructions to make the beautiful L-O-V-E banner shown below!
Our long-anticipated eReader Case Design Set was released today! This design can be stitched with even the smallest of hoops since it comes with E-A-S-Y instructions to make the case on your sewing machine, as well as 2 different sets of Monogram Appliques to stitch with your embroidery machine - one feminine, the other masculine. The case fits Nooks and Kindles with some extra room to spare for cords and other accessories, and it also fits the Nook Color nice and snug. Fusible fleece is used in this case to cushion your eReader and a zipper is stitched in (easily, I promise!) to keep it from falling out. You're going to love how easy these are to make!
Last night was the annual Cub Scouts Bake-Off in my son's troop where each scout makes a baked good with a parent and brings them to the pack meeting for judging. Since Thomas is a Bear Cub, we were assigned to make a cake. We decided on a favorite of ours; Cake Pops! We decorated them to look like Lego characters and they turned out really cute! And they were a HUGE hit with the Scouts!
The best part of the night (even better than sampling all of the treats at the meeting) was that Thomas won for the Most Creative cake! Hurray to Thomas!! Here's his "trophy".... ;-)
Our NEW In-the-Hoop Boutique CrossBody Bag design set has been a big hit! It is currently the Number 1 seller on SWAK and for good reason - the Boutique CrossBody Bags are so fun and easy to make and they turn out looking FABULOUS!
